Animated GUI
by Limucc
Animated GUI gives Minecraft's menus, chat and inventory slots smooth transitions, so screens slide, fade and glide instead of snapping open and shut.
What it does
The mod replaces the instant interface changes of vanilla Minecraft with animations that can be tuned. Menus fade or slide when they open and close, item stacks glide between slots, the hotbar selector moves smoothly to the chosen slot, and new chat messages slide up rather than popping in. Creative inventory lists glide one pixel at a time rather than leaping a full row, and the lists in the options and Mod Menu configuration screens settle into place with the same easing.
Every animation can be switched on or off separately and has its own duration and easing curve, selectable from Linear, Smooth, Ease-out, Overshoot, Elastic and Bounce. Menu navigation can be set separately to Slide, Zoom, Fade or Swap. A single master switch turns every animation off at once and returns the interface to vanilla behavior. The vanilla look of the screens is kept, and the settings are reachable from Mod Menu in a flat, tabbed screen with General, Inventory and Game sections.
Animated GUI is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric only, in builds for 26.1.2 and 26.2. It runs client-side only: it changes only the player's own interface, so servers do not need it and players can join without installing it.
Key features
Animated menus
Screens fade, scale, slide and zoom when they open and close, with a separate speed for each screen type.
Gliding item slots
Picked-up and moved item stacks glide between slots along a configurable easing curve.
Smooth creative scrolling
The creative inventory scrolls pixel by pixel instead of jumping a full row at a time.
Animated chat and hotbar
New chat lines slide up into place, and the hotbar selector slides between slots when the player switches.
Per-animation settings
Each animation carries its own on/off setting, duration and easing curve, and a single master control returns every screen to the vanilla behavior at once.

How it compares
NoRefreshScrollServerList is a Fabric client mod under the MIT License for 26.1.2 and changes only the server list scrolling, while Animated GUI covers the wider interface. Skip Transitions is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, runs client-side only and is published for 1.18 – 1.21.10, so it targets older game versions than Animated GUI. Just Enough Fire! is open source under the MIT License and client-side only for 26.1.2, and it does not animate the interface.
