Haven't I Seen This Before?

by Limucc

Haven't I Seen This Before? is a Fabric utility that outlines copies of a Litematica schematic found in the loaded area around the player, including rotated and mirrored matches.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License26.1.2 – 26.2

What it does

After a player loads a .litematic file in Litematica, the mod scans the chunks already loaded around them and draws an outline over each place where the build already exists. Rotated and mirrored copies are matched as well, so a build made long ago can be located again without searching by hand. Matching builds light up as the player walks around the area.

The mod is useful for finding builds across a large base, for example villager halls, iron farms and shops, and for tallying how many times a modular design has been placed. It only reads data that is already loaded on the client, the same kind of data Litematica and MiniHUD use, so it never reads server-side data and never edits a block. Nothing it does changes the world for anyone else.

Installation needs Fabric API, MaLiLib and Litematica, all placed in the mods folder. The mod is released under the MIT License, is not open source, and is published for Fabric only, in two game versions: 26.1.2 and 26.2. Its latest file, 1.1.0, targets 26.2 and was published on 2026-07-09.

Key features

  1. Schematic outlines

Outlines mark each copy of the loaded Litematica schematic, including rotated and mirrored matches.

  2. Loaded-area search

The search covers only the chunks already loaded around the player, so it runs without a server query.

  3. Client-side overlay

The highlights are a visual overlay that exists only on the player's own screen and changes nothing in the world.

  4. Copy counting

Players can see how many copies of a modular build they have placed, which helps keep large projects organized.
