Just Load

by JavaChef

Just Load is a Fabric client mod that skips the title screen and opens a singleplayer world directly on startup.

FabricClient-side onlyGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.18.2 – 1.19.2

What it does

On launch, Just Load bypasses the title screen and goes straight into a singleplayer world. The world can be the last one played, a default world, or a specific world chosen in the config file. A version incompatibility check and a level corruption check run before loading, so players are asked to make backups in the same way vanilla Minecraft asks. Users who choose to proceed do so at their own risk.

Mapmakers, datapack authors and mod developers who restart the game often for testing and debugging can use Just Load to save time on each launch. Only the client runs it, so servers need nothing. Installation needs only Fabric. Files are published for Fabric for 1.18.2, 1.19, 1.19.1 and 1.19.2, and the latest is 1.0.3 for 1.19.2, released on 2022-08-06. The code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.

Key features

  1. Direct singleplayer launch

The title screen is skipped entirely, and the game loads straight into a singleplayer world.

  2. Configurable world choice

The config file selects whether the last played world, a default world or a specific world opens at startup.

  3. Startup safety checks

Version incompatibility and level corruption are checked before loading, with the same backup advice vanilla gives.

  4. Faster test cycles

Restarting the game for testing or debugging skips the menus that would otherwise need clicking each time.

What the author says

Here's what starting up the game looks like: (LazyDFU installed) Just Load currently does not check for version incompatibility nor level corruption, and does not make backups like Minecraft normally does. Proceed at your own risk!
