Simple Tools lets players craft basic starter tools directly in the 2x2 inventory grid, using simplified recipes that skip the crafting table.

What it does

The mod adds quality-of-life recipes for basic tools, so a player can make early tools without placing a crafting table or spending a wooden pickaxe that would be thrown away afterward. The recipes are shipped as a data pack, and the mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 18 release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.10. Only the server needs it; players can join a server that runs it without installing anything. The code is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
