Simpel add
by x-j0nnay-x
Simpel add is a Fabric, Forge and NeoForge mod that adds a technology layer to vanilla gameplay, with grinding, fuel and wing crafts.
What it does
The mod adds crafts that double raw iron, copper and gold, and a grinder head that makes this possible. It also adds ore blocks for coal, diamond and emerald at three times the usual yield, plus a few new ores placed in the Nether and End, including Netherite Shard and Unobtanium. Its energy-based automation blocks use FE, and the author describes the mod as keeping the way the game plays while going further.
Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Builds exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across three release versions, 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 26.1.2. Its license is a custom one, so the code is not open source. Fabric and NeoForge files are the most recent, with a NeoForge 2.146 build for 26.1.2 published on 2026-08-24.
Key features
Grinder head
A grinder head doubles raw ore output and turns materials into dust, which can be used to double ores again.
Tiered ore additions
New ores appear in the Nether and End, with Unobtanium as an end game material for armor better than netherite.
Fuel chunks and coal
Coal and charcoal convert into fuel chunks at eight per item, and an inspired tinny coal form adds a lighter option.
Food and wing crafts
Bread, cooked meat and vegetables combine into a filling sandwich, and slime, string and wool can be crafted into wings.
Upgrades and home wand
Speed and efficiency upgrades for remote machines, a blank smithing table upgrade, and a home wand complete the set.
