Shuriken, a throwing weapon built on Silent Gear's material system, is added by this NeoForge addon for Silent Gear.
What it does
Shuriken is a new weapon type for Silent Gear. Players craft throwing weapons from the materials they prefer, and each combination carries the traits of the materials it uses, so the result suits a chosen playstyle. Ranged attacks are fast, and the thrown weapons can be picked up and reused.
The addon needs Silent Gear and Silent Lib to run. It is published for NeoForge only, for 1.21.1 and 26.1.2, and the latest file is 1.0.0 for 26.1.2, dated 2026-06-14. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source.
Shuriken reads Silent Gear's existing material list, so materials added by other mods can be used for it as well. The author plans further part customization, weapon-specific traits and better visual effects and animations, but none of these are part of the current files.
