Shy Dweller

The Dweller is passive until a player looks directly at its face. A single glance triggers an aggressive state, after which the creature flies toward the player at speed, tearing through blocks in its path and not stopping until it reaches the player or the player dies. Running is the only option, and hiding does not help because the creature knows where the player is.

Dwellers spawn in dark caves and seldom appear inside structures built by players. Custom sounds such as distant crying, screams and footsteps are meant to keep the player on edge. Dwellers do not always stay in caves; sometimes one finds its way to the surface, where the player may hear faint sobbing through the walls at night and turn around to find one sitting quietly in a dark corner.

The mod runs on Fabric with Client and server environment, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric across 17 release versions, 1.18 – 1.21.1, and the latest file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.1. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
