Veinminer
by SGTSambam
With Veinminer installed, holding Shift while breaking a supported ore or log block mines the whole connected vein in one action.
What it does
Veinminer mines connected supported blocks, such as ore and log veins, when a player performs one normal block break. No setup command is needed: a player holds Shift while mining a supported block and the vein is removed at once. The mod is built to keep repetitive mining short while leaving server owners control over how far it reaches.
Server owners can set block lists, tool lists, caps on how many blocks one break removes, cooldowns and exhaustion limits. Advanced commands are registered only when advanced.enabled is set to true in GeneralConfig.toml. Installing the client build adds a hotkey, default V, that sends key state to the server, and without it Shift or sneak activation still works on a vanilla-only server.
The mod runs on Fabric and NeoForge. Builds cover 1.20 – 26.2, and the latest files, for both loaders, target 26.2 and date from 2026-07-07. The code is under All rights reserved, so the project is not open source, though public source code links exist.
Key features
Vein mining
One block break removes connected supported blocks, limited by configurable block caps.
Activation choices
Shift or sneak triggers the mining by default, while the optional client hotkey can be set to hold or toggle per player.
Block and tool lists
Global block and tool lists let a server choose which blocks count, and optional per-tool lists add finer rules.
Durability guard
An optional guard stops a tool from being broken by a vein mining action.
Cooldown and limits
Optional cooldown, exhaustion and maximum-block settings bound how often and how far the mining reaches.
Outline particles
Each player can show outline particles with adjustable color and duration around the blocks being mined.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.

Use cases
Server control
Server owners set limits, permissions and block lists so the mining fits their world rules.
Who it’s for: Players who work through large ore deposits or tree groves, and server owners who want configurable limits on automated breaking.
How it compares
Orevein runs on Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.11 – 26.3, is under the MIT License and is not open source, and needs both client and server. QuickMine spans Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 – 1.21.4 under the MIT License and also needs both sides. Ore Harvester is server-side only, covers 1.19.2 – 26.3 on four loaders, and is under All rights reserved, so players join without installing it.
