Server Auctions
by louiswalder6
Server Auctions adds a global auction house and physical player shops to Fabric and NeoForge servers, with chest-style menus for listing and buying items.
What it does
Players list items in a global auction house and browse it through a chest-style interface, where listings can be filtered by category and bought directly. Placeable Auction Blocks let a seller set a custom price on an item, and other players hover over the block to see the seller and price before buying with one click. Bazaar Stands are scaffolding-style shop stands with red carpet that form a physical marketplace alongside the virtual one.
The mod is aimed at community servers that want a shared economy in both a virtual and a physical form. Server operators get balances accurate to the cent, payments that go straight from one player to another, and a selling feature that runs on the server. Sellers are notified in chat when an item sells, and detailed statistics show how much money was earned and spent. Only the owner of an Auction Block can break it, which protects shops from griefing.
Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The mod is not open source and is released under All rights reserved, with source code, an issue tracker and a wiki linked from its public pages.
Key features
Global auction house
A virtual auction house is open to all players, with listings filtered by category and bought through a chest GUI.
Auction Blocks
Placeable blocks let a player set a custom price on an item, and buyers can purchase with a single click after checking the seller.
Bazaar Stands
Red-carpet stands built from placeable scaffolding form physical shops, and players can walk through them or climb them like ladders.
Hover price tooltips
Hovering over an item in an inventory chest shows the stack's sell value.
Financial statistics
Detailed statistics show exactly how much a player has earned from sales and spent on purchases.
Grief protection
Only the owner of a placed Auction Block can break it, so other players cannot remove another seller's shop.

How it compares
MMO Econ is server-side only, open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and built for 1.21.1 – 1.21.11, so players can join without installing it. Auction House Plus is also server-side only and uses a custom license, covering 1.21.1 – 1.21.10. Auction House Cobb is the only alternative that needs both sides, with a client and server environment for 1.21.1 alone and Fabric only.
