Sophisticated Backpacks - MT Inventory Weight
by MEGATREX4
Sophisticated Backpacks Inventory Weight is a Fabric add-on that makes MT Inventory Weight count the real contents of Sophisticated Backpacks backpacks.
What it does
A built-in calculator in MT Inventory Weight handles backpacks by reading the container's NBT data. Sophisticated Backpacks stores its real contents elsewhere, in a world-level BackpackStorage, so the generic reader under-counts or miscounts those backpacks. Everything else falls through to the defaults.
The provider resolves each backpack's UUID to its stored contents through the Sophisticated Backpacks wrapper API, so backpacks that are equipped, held or stored are weighed correctly. Nested backpacks are followed with a depth limit to avoid runaway recursion. The result's base weight shows the full, undivided contents weight. The base weight for an empty backpack comes from one fixed constant, SophisticatedBackpacksInventoryWeight EMPTY BACKPACK WEIGHT, and server owners can set it through a config value.
The mod needs Fabric API, MT Inventory Weight and the unofficial Fabric port of Sophisticated Backpacks. It is published for Fabric only, across 1.20.1, 1.20.4 and 1.21.1, and the environment is client and server. When Sophisticated Backpacks is present but its provider is not active, the game logs a warning and Inventory Weight reverts to default handling.

Accurate backpack weight
Backpacks are weighed from their real stored contents instead of the generic container NBT reader.

Backpacks placed inside other backpacks are counted, with a depth limit that prevents endless recursion.
Configurable empty weight
The base weight of an empty backpack is a single constant that can be exposed as a user-configurable setting.
