Ruined Ghasts is a NeoForge cursed mod for 1.21.1 that replaces ghasts with a set of altered variants and adds dehydrated mobs, a dehydrator and related items.
What it does
Ruined Ghasts changes how ghasts appear and behave in a world, adding a range of themed variants such as Dried, Cooked, Burnt, Wet, Deflated, Bucket and TNT Ghast. Each variant is a separate mob that players can meet in the overworld, so a single world can hold several different forms alongside the vanilla ghast.
The mod also adds a Dehydrator item and dehydrated versions of many common mobs, including cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, fish, cats, bees, squids, villagers, sniffers and players, plus a dehydrated dimension. Items such as the Saxophone and the Copper Needle come with the mod, and a Saxophone Ghast variant exists alongside them.
Ruined Ghasts requires Geckolib, which must be installed next to it on NeoForge. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files are published for NeoForge only, for 1.21.1, under the MIT License. The code is not open source, and a wiki is linked from the project page.
