RimeLib
by Rime
RimeLib is a client-side utility library for Fabric that other mods build on, with no gameplay content of its own.
What it does
RimeLib provides helper code that other mods can call, rather than adding blocks, items or mechanics to the game. Players do not see it in play; it is present because a dependent mod needs its shortcuts for common tasks. Only the client needs it, so servers can run the dependent mods without it on their side.
The library is published for Fabric across six release versions, covering 1.21.6, 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1 and 26.2, with 2.3.5+26.2 for 26.2 as the latest file. Its version numbers follow a Major.Minor.Hotfix scheme: a Major increase marks big enough breaking changes, a Minor increase marks breaking changes that are not as large, and a Hotfix increase marks non-breaking changes and additions. A release may carry fixes specific to one Minecraft version.
RimeLib requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, both of which must be installed alongside it. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are publicly linked. ScreenshotFolder is one of the mods that require it.
Key features
Shared helper code
Provides convenient ways of doing common tasks, which other mods can call instead of writing their own versions.
Shared helper code for dependents
Gathers routines that dependent mods would otherwise each implement separately, so they can be called from one place.
Public issue tracker
Problems with the library's helper code can be reported through a public issue tracker linked from its project page.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

Use cases
Dependent mod development
Mod authors who want to reuse RimeLib's helper code list it as a required dependency in their own mods.
Who it’s for: Players who use a Fabric mod that requires RimeLib, and mod developers who want to build on its helper code.

What the author says
This mod doesn't do anything by itself but provides certain convenient ways of doing stuff for other mods. The versioning scheme is: major.minor.hotfix: - Major is increased when I feel like it. - Minor will be incremented for breaking changes. - Hotfix will be incremented for non-breaking changes or additions.
