Restore Chat Links makes web links in chat messages clickable again for players who see them as plain text in later versions.

What it does

The mod processes chat messages so that web links they contain become clickable. It covers the kinds of text a player sees in chat, including game messages, player chat messages, direct messages and announcements such as those sent by a command block's say command. Each chat type can be included or left out through the configuration.

Restore Chat Links is client-side only, so servers run without it and players need only the client mod. It is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, and its source code is public. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and the mod requires Forge Config Api Port on Fabric to read its configuration. Builds cover 1.19.2 – 26.3, and the latest file targets 26.3.
