Resource Pack Profiles
by ZephByte
Resource Pack Profiles lets players save, load and share named resource pack load orders from the vanilla resource pack screen.
What it does
A profile stores a resource pack load order under a name, so a player can switch between entirely different pack setups in seconds from the resource pack screen without rebuilding the list each time. Applying a profile loads its packs and reloads resources without a restart. When the profile being edited is the active one, saving the change applies it again straight away, and starring a profile moves it to the top of the list.
The mod is a client-side Fabric mod, so only the player's game needs it and servers run without it. Its profile pack lists use Minecraft's native widgets, which keeps keyboard navigation and screen readers working. Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin are required, and Mod Menu is optional for opening the pack folder. Builds cover game versions 26.1 – 26.3, and the code is under the MIT License and open source.
Key features
Save and load profiles
The current resource pack load order is saved under a name, and any saved profile can be applied with a reload.
Edit profiles without changing the main order
Packs can be added, removed or reordered inside a profile, leaving the main load order untouched.
Custom profile icons
Each profile can use its own image, and profiles without one show an icon built from their pack art.
Import and export
Profiles are shared as single .rpprofile files, which are standard JSON that include the pack list and the custom icon.
Missing packs handled
A profile that references packs no longer installed is flagged, and it is still applied without those packs.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
