ReLib is a Fabric library of config classes, typed options and JSON persistence that other mods in the catalog build on.

FabricClient-side onlyGNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 onlyOpen source26.1 – 26.3

What it does

Developers declare configuration as classes marked with the Config annotation. At startup, Fabric entrypoints register each config so it is discovered without manual wiring. Values are saved to and loaded from pretty-printed JSON through Gson, so a config file stays readable and editable by hand.

The library offers typed options: boolean, string, integer, double, enum and string-list. Integer and double options enforce minimum and maximum bounds. A list option is backed by a mutable wrapper that supports add, edit, remove and clear. The mod is a general-purpose utility library, originally built for the author's own mods and open for anyone to use. Two catalog mods, Ench Tell and Deplete Tell, require it. ReLib is client-side only, so servers run without it while players install it on the client. Builds cover 26.1 – 26.3.

Key features

  1. Config classes

Configuration is declared as annotated classes, so each option lives in one place in code.

  2. Automatic discovery

Registered configs are found through Fabric entrypoints at startup, with no manual loading step.

  3. Typed options

Boolean, string, integer, double, enum and string-list options cover the value types mods usually need.

  4. Bounded numeric ranges

Integer and double options clamp values to a declared minimum and maximum.

Questions

Does Ench Tell need ReLib installed?

Yes. Ench Tell requires ReLib, and Deplete Tell also requires it, so both need ReLib on Fabric alongside them.

Does ReLib have to be installed on the server?

No. Players add it to their own game, and a server needs no copy.

Which Minecraft versions does ReLib support?

Files cover 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3, with 0.2.1+26.1 for 26.3 as the latest Fabric file, published 2026-07-31.

In the catalog

ReLib is one of 3,514 Library mods on ModsFinder, and one of 2,348 Library mods for Fabric. 8,071 mods support Minecraft 26.3.
