Anvil Legacy

by Sunflower

Anvil Legacy lets players rename an item on an anvil so that a chosen name can turn standard gear into a relic with unique attributes.

ForgeServer required, client optionalMIT License1.20.1

What it does

The mod adds a renaming mechanic to the anvil. Place the desired item on the anvil and enter a name; if the name is accepted, the item gains unique attributes, and a standard sword, axe, bow or piece of armor can ascend to legendary status. Whether a name is accepted is partly a matter of luck, and the odds rise or fall with the levels spent on the renaming.

The mod is a Forge addon built for the Reign mod, and it expands that mod so that players can reforge gear and reveal hidden power. Installation requires Forge on the server. Clients may run it, but they do not need it. The code is under the MIT License, and the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Legendary relics

Renaming a standard item through the anvil transforms it into a relic with improved stats.

  2. Weapon and bow boosts

Swords, axes and bows gain higher damage, and their attack speed is raised.

  3. Armor enhancements

Armor pieces receive more armor and armor toughness, along with improved knockback resistance.

  4. Durability and enchantment limits

Item durability lasts longer, and enchantments can exceed their normal limits.
