RedFX (Blood Particle)
by Drinfonty
RedFX (Blood Particle) adds blood effects to combat, with a different particle colour for each kind of mob the player fights.
What it does
When a mob takes damage, RedFX draws blood particles in a colour tied to that mob: red for most creatures, blue for the Warden, purple for Endermen and the Ender Dragon, green for Slimes and Creepers, and lava-coloured for Magma Cubes and Blazes. The effect is meant to make hits read more clearly during fights.
Blood splatters are sized to a 16x16 pixel grid per block, so the marks on walls and floors line up with the block texture rather than floating at arbitrary sizes. The mod is client-side only, so it changes nothing on a server and requires no setup there. Fabric API must be installed beside it on Fabric; NeoForge builds run without a separate library.
Files cover 1.21 – 26.3 on Fabric and NeoForge, with 17 release versions in total and 3.1.0 for 26.3 as the latest file on both loaders. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are publicly linked.
Key features
Mob-coloured blood
Each mob family produces its own particle colour, so a player can tell the source of a hit by the blood alone.
Warden and Ender blood
The Warden bleeds blue, while Endermen and the Ender Dragon bleed purple.
Slime and Creeper blood
Slimes and Creepers produce green particles, and Magma Cubes and Blazes produce lava-coloured ones.
Grid-aligned splatters
Each block receives its splatter on a 16 by 16 pixel grid, which keeps the marks sized to the face they land on.

How it compares
Immersive Blood Splatters is client-side only and covers Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.1 – 26.1.2, under All rights reserved. Death blood screen is also client-side only, for Fabric and NeoForge on 26.1.2 – 26.2, under All rights reserved. RedFX is client-side only as well, with a 1.21 – 26.3 range and an open source MIT License, so it covers the newest builds that the others do not reach.
