Items & Mechanics Classic (Re-Classic Addon)
Items & Mechanics Classic is a NeoForge addon for 1.21.1 that rebalances axes and shields and adds copper and amethyst equipment in an older style.
What it does
The addon brings many items with varied functions, including armor and crafting recipes that use copper and amethyst, and it adds achievements tied to each material. Its textures follow the look of earlier Minecraft releases, so the additions match a nostalgic style. It is meant to be paired with the Re-Classic addon and modpacks built around a retro look.
Several vanilla combat items are changed. Axes deal more damage to mobs, but the balance stops players from repeating attacks rapidly. Shields gain a small rebalance: a blocked mob hit costs the shield less durability and deals a small amount of damage back, with a bonus of one extra point of damage. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it, and it is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Files exist for NeoForge only, currently 1.0.6 for 1.21.1, published in beta.
