Rain Randomizer
by eckelsoft
Rain Randomizer replaces what falls from the sky with a random mix of blocks, items, entities and mobs drawn from Minecraft's registries.
What it does
Rainfall is changed into a shower of random objects. Common blocks and items fall most often, dangerous mobs appear less frequently, and rare loot from End City treasure tables shows up rarely. The cycle changes every few seconds, so the kind of object raining down shifts constantly.
The pool covers the full set of blocks, items, entities and mobs in the game registries, which is why the results vary so widely. Rare special events occur on about 0.5% of rain cycles, and these include ignited TNT, lightning strikes aimed at a single spot and lava puddles that form in open air. Fabric API is required, and the mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it.
The project is open source under the MIT License and has a public source code link. It targets Minecraft 1.21.11 only, with the 1.0.1 Fabric file dated 2026-01-14 as the current release.

Use cases
Chaotic survival
Players who want unpredictable weather on a survival world can let rain bring a constant stream of unexpected objects.
Server events
A server owner can run rain randomization as a shared event that all players see at once.
Who it’s for: Players and server owners who want unpredictable rain on Minecraft 1.21.11 with Fabric. Because the mod is server-side only, a server install is enough for everyone who joins.
