Quick Commands

by ExternalTime

Quick Commands lets players create their own command aliases, short names that run a longer command when typed in chat.

FabricClient-side onlyGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or laterOpen source1.20.4 – 1.21.1

What it does

Aliases are added with the quickcommands add alias command, which registers a new alias, and removed with quickcommands remove alias. Running quickcommands run alias executes the command linked to that alias, and quickcommands list shows every alias that is available. quickcommands clear removes all aliases at once. Create command aliases can also be run with the Quick Commands key, and suggestions help when typing them.

The mod works entirely through chat commands and adds no graphical interface. It is a client-side only mod for Fabric, with files for 1.20.4 and 1.21.1, and it requires Fabric API. The source code is open and the mod is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later.

Key features

  1. Alias creation

Players register a new alias with a single command, which then runs the stored command when used.

  2. Alias management

Aliases can be listed, run and removed one at a time, or all cleared together.

  3. Command suggestions

Suggestions appear while typing, which makes alias commands easier to use.
