Quartz Equipment adds Nether Quartz tools, weapons and armor for Forge and NeoForge, letting players craft gear from a material normally used only for decoration.
What it does
Nether Quartz, which vanilla treats mainly as a decorative block, becomes the crafting material for a full set of equipment: a sword, an axe, a pickaxe, a shovel, a hoe and an armor set. Each piece is balanced against the vanilla tiers, with the quartz gear sitting between stone and iron in damage and durability, and trading some of iron's sturdiness for stronger enchantability.
The tools and weapons are meant for survival play, where the mod gives a reason to gather quartz beyond building. Quartz gear enchants better than iron and has a high enchantability value of 17, so it suits enchanting early in a run. The mod also adds a tired Nether Quartz decorative block, and it runs on Forge and NeoForge across 6 release versions, 1.18.2 – 1.21.4, under a Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0 license.
A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge only; the latest Forge file is 1.0.5 for 1.19.4 and the latest NeoForge file is 1.1.0 for 1.21.4.
Key features

The sword deals 6.5 attack damage, and the heavier axe deals 9 attack damage, both crafted from quartz.
