Potion Lakes

by Nirsland

Potion Lakes places lakes filled with potions into the world, and each biome generates its own version of them.

ForgeClient and serverMIT License1.16.5 – 1.20.1

What it does

Lakes of potions appear naturally across different biomes, so exploring the world can turn up a potion lake in places that would otherwise look ordinary. Some of the potions in these lakes are dangerous and others are beneficial, which gives exploration a strategic side. Client and server both need the mod, and it is published for Forge only, across 5 release versions 1.16.5 – 1.20.1 with 1.0 for 1.20.1 as the latest file. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Biome-specific lakes

Each biome generates its own unique potion lake, so the potions found change with the terrain.

  2. Mixed potion effects

Lakes hold a mix of potions, some harmful and some helpful, so a player has to decide what to drink.

  3. Exploration reward

Finding a potion lake in the wild offers an added layer of strategy and adventure to travel across the map.
