PolyZoom, a 1.8.9 zoom mod for Ornithe, lets players magnify the view by holding a key and configure it through OneConfig.
What it does
Holding the C key zooms the view, and the F6 key starts a secondary zoom, so the two levels can be used separately. Scrolling while zoomed can go further than the base level. The mod is configured in OneConfig, which must be installed alongside it.
It runs on the client only, so servers and other players do not need it. The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and files are published for Ornithe on 1.8.9, with 1.0.3 as the latest, updated on 2026-10-11.
Key features
Hold-to-zoom key
Holding C zooms the view while the key stays pressed, and releasing it returns the field of view to normal.
Secondary zoom
The F6 key activates a second zoom level, separate from the main one.
Scroll zooming
Scrolling while zoomed moves the magnification further, so players can fine-tune how close the view gets.
