With MinecraftCapes installed, a player can wear a cape of their choice in game at no cost, and other players with the mod installed can see it too.

What it does

Capes are chosen from uploads to the mod's service, and players may also create their own. The mod is client-side only, so the server and other players need nothing beyond the client installation to show the capes they wear.

The mod never asks for an account password. Fabric API is required on every loader that uses it, and MinecraftCapes is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Ornithe across 40 release versions, 1.7.10 – 26.3, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, as open source code with public source and issue links.

Files for the latest builds target 26.1.2 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and 1.8.9 on Ornithe. Fabric API is required for Fabric installs, and the mod's first public release dates from 2021-08-02, with the most recent update on 2026-09-30.

    Any cape image can be uploaded to the service and then worn in game by the account that uploaded it.
