With Pochatok installed, a player reading signs in a dense build can filter them by text, including regex patterns, and click through the matches.
What it does
Pochatok is a small set of utilities for the client. Its sign search takes a plain word or a regular expression and highlights the matching signs in the world. Clicked signs change color, so a player can tell which ones have already been checked. The search can be narrowed with a mask, a setting added in version 2.1.0.
A second group of tools covers screenshots, where pets stay in frame, and a Creative Fly feature that brings the flight behavior of Creative mode into survival. Both sides of the game are not needed, so the mod is installed only on the player's own game. Mod Menu can open its settings screen, and Cloth Config API supplies the options screen.
Pochatok runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1 – 26.2. Its files cover thirteen release versions, and the newest Fabric build, 3.0.1-26.2-fabric, was published on 2026-07-11. The code is under the MIT License, but the project is not open source in the sense of publishing its full history.

Sign Preview is a client-side Fabric mod under the MIT License that covers 1.20.1 – 26.3 and is open source, so it reaches the same range as Pochatok without the search tools. Connected Signs is a client and server Fabric mod under the Apache License 2.0, open source and limited to 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, so it needs installing on the server as well.
