PlayerEx

by clevernucleus

PlayerEx adds attributes, levels and skill points to the player, with configurable levelling.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.18.2 – 1.19.2

What it does

The mod registers attributes that work like those of an RPG and assigns them to the player by default; other living entities can receive them as well. Players gain levels and skill points, and the rate of levelling can be set in the configuration. Configuration is largely handled by Data Attributes, which requires Cloth Config API, Data Attributes and Fabric API to be installed alongside PlayerEx. Cardinal Components API, Offline Player Cache and Projectile Damage Attribute are bundled inside the mod, so they need no separate install. Installed on a client, a single-player world or a server, it runs with the mod on both sides.

Key features

  1. Role-playing attributes

Attributes are registered and added to the player by default, covering combat and survival stats.

  2. Levels and skill points

The player earns levels and spends the resulting skill points on the attributes they choose.

  3. Configurable levelling

The rate and rules of levelling can be adjusted, with most options defined through Data Attributes.

Questions

Yes. Data Attributes is required, and it provides most of the configuration, so it should be read before customising PlayerEx.

Do servers need PlayerEx?

Yes. The mod is client and server, so the server and every player must run it.
