Data Attributes
Data Attributes lets pack makers and server owners define, change and add entity attributes through datapacks, and it reworks how those attributes behave in play.
What it does
The mod overhauls Minecraft's entity attribute system so attributes can respond more dynamically, and it adds follow-on attributes of the kind many other games use. Attributes are exposed to datapack editing, so every part of the system can be adjusted from a pack without writing Java code.
The mod adds no in-game blocks, items or screens of its own. It works as a foundation that other mods and datapacks build on. Data Attributes began as part of PlayerEx, where an early draft was clunky, poorly optimised and buggy. It was rebuilt as a standalone project, and it requires Fabric API on Fabric.
The mod is published for Fabric only, across 1.18.2, 1.19 and 1.19.2, with 1.4.6 as the latest file for 1.19.2. Installation covers the server and each player's game. The code is open source under the MIT License. The author asks users to read the wiki before installing it.
Key features
Datapack attribute control
Entity attributes can be defined and modified in datapacks, covering each aspect of the attribute system.
Follow-on attributes
The attribute system gains follow-on attributes that extend how values carry between related stats.
Dynamic attribute behaviour
Attributes are reworked to respond more dynamically than the vanilla implementation.
Standalone attribute system
The system runs without PlayerEx, so other projects can depend on it directly.

Use cases
Custom pack balancing
A pack maker adjusts entity stats through datapacks, without shipping any Java code.
Server-wide tuning
A server owner changes attribute values for every mob or player on the server through a datapack.
Who it’s for: The mod suits datapack authors and server owners who want fine control over entity stats. Players who only want new content will not find any in this mod.
How it compares
Data Overhaul is a server-side only Fabric mod for 1.17.1 with a custom license and no open source code. Zenith Attributes Renewed is open source under the MIT License, published for 1.20.1, and runs on client and server. Data Attributes is also MIT licensed and open source, and it covers 1.18.2 – 1.19.2.
