With Placeable Plants, players can set vegetation such as mushrooms, grass, ferns, berry bushes and firefly bushes onto blocks where it would not normally grow.
What it does
Placeable Plants lets vegetation be placed on almost any block. Mushrooms and funguses, short and tall grass, ferns and tall ferns, short and tall dry grass, firefly bushes, sweet berry bushes and dead bushes can all be set down on surfaces that vanilla does not allow. The feature list is the mod's central function, and it changes which blocks accept plants rather than adding new plant types.
The mod is a server-side only Fabric build for 1.21.9 – 26.3, and it has to be installed on the server. Players join without installing anything, since clients need nothing. The code is open source under the MIT License, and builds exist for 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3, with 1.1.2+mc26.3 for 26.3 as the latest file, published on 2026-09-19. Snapshot builds are not published for the mod.
