PipeSounds
by KSmc's Team
PipeSounds plays a pipe sound effect on the client when set game events occur, such as the game finishing launch, exiting, or the player entering a world.
What it does
Each trigger is a game event on the client: the game finishing launch, the game closing, a player entering a world, a player leaving the game, and losing the connection to a server. The sound plays automatically after the chosen event, so no keys or menus are involved.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and is published only for Forge on 1.20.1, with one release, version 1.0, dated 2025-01-12. Because only the client plays sounds, a player can add it to a single-player or multiplayer setup while the server runs without it. Public links for the source code, issue tracker and wiki are available.
Key features
Pipe sound effects
A pipe sound effect plays through the client's audio when a configured event happens.
Launch and exit sounds
A sound plays when the game finishes launching and another when the game exits, marking the start and end of a session.
World and connection events
Entering a world, leaving the game and losing the connection to a server can each trigger a sound.
Default connection sound
Losing the connection is enabled by default, so that event produces a sound until the option is changed.
