ServerPingFixer
by InvalidJoker
A player who adds a GCORE-protected server to the list may see it fail on first ping, and ServerPingFixer changes the ping sequence so the entry shows correctly.
What it does
ServerPingFixer targets a case where the first Minecraft server ping fails on a server behind GCORE protection. On the first status ping the client gets no usable answer, so the server shows wrongly in the multiplayer server list until the list is refreshed. The mod alters the sequence the client sends: a normal status ping, a second normal status ping, and a legacy ping afterwards.
The mod runs on the client alone, so servers and other players need nothing installed. It needs Fabric API and is published for Fabric and Quilt, across 22 release versions. The latest file is 1.0.2+26.1-26.3 for 26.3, dated 2026-09-27. The code is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, with public links for the source and the issue tracker.
Key features
Two normal status pings
The client sends a normal status ping and then a second one, so a protected server can answer on the retry.
Legacy ping fallback
If the status pings do not succeed, a legacy ping is sent afterwards to try the server another way.
Protected server entries
Servers behind GCORE protection can appear correctly in the multiplayer list without a manual refresh.
Modified ping sequence
The change applies only to the order and kind of ping packets the client sends when it queries a server.

Ravenclaw's Ping Equalizer is a Fabric client mod under the MIT License, open source, covering 1.20 – 26.2. ServerPingFixer targets the first ping of a protected server, while these alternatives work on ping display.

ServerPingFixer resolves an issue where the initial server ping fails when a Minecraft server is protected by GCORE. When a server is behind GCORE protection, the first status ping sent by the Minecraft client may fail. As a result, the server does not appear correctly in the multiplayer server list until it is…
