PictureCam

by DeLaRosaPlay

PictureCam lets players take photos in-game, upload images from a URL or a PC file, store them in an album and display them on Image Frame blocks.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

A Camera item takes photos in the world. Images can also be imported from a URL or from a file on the player's computer, then kept in an Album item. Placing an Image Frame block displays a chosen picture on a wall, which suits decorative builds, roleplay maps, galleries and similar projects.

The mod depends on neither Fabric API nor any other library, and it is published for Forge and NeoForge only. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files cover two game versions, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and the latest builds are 1.0.1 for 1.20.1 on Forge and 1.21.1-1.0.1 for 1.21.1 on NeoForge. The code is not open source, and the mod is released under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. In-game camera

A camera craft takes a photo of the surroundings, and the result can be saved for later display.

  2. Image import

Pictures can be loaded from a URL or a file on the PC, so builders are not limited to photos taken in the game.

  3. Album storage

An album item keeps saved images together, and a copy of an existing image can be made with paper using a special recipe.

  4. Image Frame display

Image Frame blocks show a stored picture as a decorative element on walls and in galleries.

Use cases

Roleplay and map builds

Framed pictures add props and story details to adventure maps and roleplay settings.

Galleries

Walls of Image Frames can show a collection of stored pictures in one room.

Who it’s for: Builders who want photographs or custom artwork in their worlds, and server owners who run roleplay or gallery maps. Both sides need the mod to keep images consistent.
