Pebble's Flexible Commands
by lilpebs
Pebble's Flexible Commands gives server administrators a way to define custom server commands with arguments, logic and variable templates, and it runs on the server alone.
What it does
Administrators write dynamic commands that take parameters, run conditional steps and fill in values from templates at run time, and can attach several aliases to the same command for convenience. Info commands are a simpler type that return short text, such as server links or tips, for players to read. Commands are configured through plain JSON files, and access to each one can be limited with permissions.
The mod requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, both of which must be installed alongside it. It is a Fabric mod for 1.21.1, published as version 1.0.2 on 2025-05-06 after a first release on 2025-01-19. The code is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, and the source, issue tracker and wiki are public.
Key features
Dynamic commands
Commands can take arguments and run custom logic, with variable templates filling in values at run time.
Info commands
Simple text-based commands return links, tips or other information that players can look up on demand.
Random value generation
Logic can generate random numbers, items or players, and can enforce rules such as a cap on a stat.
JSON configuration and permissions
Each command is written in a JSON file, and permissions control which players may run which commands.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

Use cases
Automating admin tasks
Repetitive chores such as announcements or resets can be wrapped in a command so an administrator runs one line instead of several.
Player-facing information
Info commands let a server publish rules, Discord links or tips that players reach without asking staff.
Who it’s for: Server owners and administrators who want to add custom commands to a Fabric server without writing Java. It is server-side only, so players join without installing anything.
How it compares
Aliases is a server-side Fabric mod for 1.21.1 with the same basic purpose of short command names, but it is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. Quick Commands is a client-side Fabric mod for 1.21.11 under the MIT License, so it runs on a different side and version range. Shorthand is also client-side, for 1.21.10, under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only.
