Past Life is a Fabric and Ornithe minigame that recreates Grian's Past Life event, with a boogeyman command and a Secret Society mechanic for server play.
What it does
Players on a server run a recreation of the Past Life event. An admin uses a command to randomly select boogeymen, and another command starts a Secret Society with either a random or a chosen word. Members of the society finish a run with a success or fail command, and the console logs each run along with the picked society.
The mod works on client and server, so the server and every player need it, along with Fabric API as its required dependency. Builds cover b1.2_01 – 1.21.8 across nine release versions, with files for b1.2_01, b1.2_02, b1.7.3, 1.1, 1.4.7, 1.9.4, 1.14.4, 1.18.2 and 1.21.8. Snapshot builds are also published. The code is open source under the MIT License.

An admin command picks boogeymen at random for the current run, so each game differs from the last.

A society command begins a Secret Society with a random word or with a word the admin specifies.
Run outcome tracking
Success and fail commands record whether a society's run succeeded or failed, without manual tallying.

The server console logs information about each run, its success or failure, and the society that was picked.

Server events
Server owners can host a Past Life game with a set of players and let the boogeyman and society commands drive the round.
Old version play
Because builds reach back to Beta 1.2_01, players can run the event on early versions of the game.
Who it’s for: The mod suits server owners and admins who want to run a Past Life round, and players who join those servers. Players who want to run the other seasons of the event should use the Life Series mod instead.
