Panoramas
by mineTomek
Panoramas lets players build their own title screen backgrounds, with one panorama assigned to each world or server they join.
What it does
Players capture a panorama from a loaded world by pressing the H key, and the captured view then replaces the default title screen background. Captures go faster when the camera looks in several directions after the world has loaded, because the parts that load last are grabbed quickly and can be missing from the set. A world that has no panorama yet can be given one through the world select menu, where two new buttons appear: one applies the panorama to the selected world and the other restores the default Minecraft panorama.
The mod is client-side only and needs Cloth Config API, Fabric API and Mod Menu, all of which must be installed alongside it. Panoramas is published for Fabric only, for 1.20.4, and the latest file is mc1.20.4-0.0.3, an alpha build from 2024-02-03. The code is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, so it is open source with public links to its source and issue tracker.
Key features
Custom panorama capture
Captures a panorama from the current world view and stores it for later use on the title screen.
Per-world and per-server panoramas
Each world or server can have its own panorama, which loads automatically when the player joins it.
Resolution-based sizing
The size of a captured panorama follows the game window resolution and height, multiplied by a configurable factor.
Hide resource pack panoramas
A setting controls whether panoramas supplied by resource packs are displayed, and they can be enabled manually when hidden.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want their own title screen backgrounds in Minecraft 1.20.4 on Fabric, and players who run several worlds or servers and want each to show a different view.
How it compares
Panorium runs on Fabric for 26.1 – 26.2 under the MIT License and is client-side only. Panorama Creator is also client-side only on Fabric for 1.21.10 – 1.21.11, but it is released under All rights reserved. Panoramas targets 1.20.4 alone on Fabric and is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, which makes it open source.

What the author says
It's very simple to use. Just press the H key (this can be changed) in your world and your title screen will become what you see right now. For best results look in all directions and load the world around you, because the panorama is grabbed so fast, that parts of the world might be missing.
