Panda Death Ban holds a player out of the server for a set time after a death, with a configurable ban message, on Fabric servers.
What it does
Panda Death Ban is a Fabric server mod that can be dropped into a server to enforce bans after a player dies. Instead of banning a player the moment they die, it keeps the death screen up and blocks respawn until a configurable timer runs out, so the wait is part of the play. The ban time and the ban message are both set in the mod's configuration.
The mod can apply to genuine hardcore worlds. In such a world, players see hardcore hearts, and the mod keeps them from switching to spectator mode during the ban. To use this, the hardcore setting must be enabled in level.dat and in server.properties, and the world must be generated with it. Only the server runs the mod, so players join without installing anything.
Panda Death Ban is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and targets Fabric only. Its files cover game versions 1.21.11 – 26.3, with 1.2.0+26.3 for 26.3 as the latest file, updated 2026-10-04.
