Opazite adds a crystal ore to the Fabric game, with its own tools, armour and a gem that can be crafted into a block for players mining deep below sea level.
What it does
Opazite is an ore that generates only below y=0, and only in its deepslate variant, so players have to dig far underground to reach it. Mining it requires an iron pickaxe or a better one, and each ore block drops one Opazite gem, with the amount raised by the Fortune enchantment. Nine gems placed in a crafting grid make an Opazite block.
The material sits between diamond and netherite. Its tools and armour are described as stronger and more durable than diamond, while remaining less rare than netherite. The set includes a sword, axe, pickaxe, hoe and shovel, along with a full armour set. Boots give a double jump, and the Opazite sword allows a dash in the manner of a spear.
Opazite is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.2, published with a single build, version 1.1, on 2026-10-04. The server and every player need the mod installed. The mod was first published on 2026-08-19, and its source code is public under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
