OmniDye
by HeyItsAuriYT
OmniDye lets a player recolor supported blocks to any of the 16 dye colors by combining the block with a dye in a crafting table.
What it does
Recipes in OmniDye are completely shapeless, so the placement of the block and the dye in the crafting grid does not matter. A block can be recolored even when it already has the desired color, and the mod covers Concrete Powder and Connected Glass, which are recolored like their vanilla counterparts. A Glass Cleaner recipe strips the color from supported glass variants and returns the original clear form, for mod versions from 26.1.2 onward. The server needs the mod, and players may add it to their clients.
The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, across 9 release versions, 1.21.4 – 26.2, with a Data pack build for server platforms. Its license is All rights reserved, so the code is not open source. The Latest Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt file is 2.0.0 for 26.2, released 2026-07-22.
Key features
Recolor across 16 dyes
Supported colored blocks can be recolored into any of the 16 dye colors.
Shapeless recipes
Dyeing works in any arrangement of the crafting grid, so the block and dye can be placed anywhere.
Recolor same-color blocks
Blocks can be recolored even when they already have the chosen color, which allows reshading a single block or a whole build.
Glass Cleaner
A recipe made from a glass block and a dye strips color from supported glass variants and restores clear glass.
Connected Glass support
Connected Glass blocks recolor like their vanilla counterparts, and the Glass Cleaner also handles their variants.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who build in survival or creative worlds and want to change the color of existing blocks, and server owners who want that option available to their players.
How it compares
Blocks Recolor runs on the server with optional client installs, is published under a custom license that is not open source, and covers 26.1 – 26.2 across the same four loaders. Re-Dye Glazed Terracotta [PurpurPack] also runs on the server with optional client installs and is under the MIT License, with files for 1.21 – 26.2, but it is limited to glazed terracotta. Colorize is under the MIT License, supports 1.18 – 26.3, and runs as a client and server mod, so every player must install it.
