Omnidirectional Movement
Omnidirectional Movement lets the player sprint in any direction, including backward and sideways, in the style of shooters such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
What it does
The mod changes how sprinting works in vanilla Minecraft, so a player can sprint in directions other than straight ahead. It uses mixins to make small edits to the vanilla code, which limits sprinting and sprint jumping to forward movement. Because the approach is vanilla-based, the rest of the game is left as it is. The author rewrote the source for this release, and reported bugs were fixed in the process.
The mod shows its current status on screen, so a player can see whether the functionality is enabled or disabled. Its settings are applied from a config file. Changing a config value during gameplay needs a refresh before it takes effect. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Quilt, Legacy Fabric and LiteLoader, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. Its releases cover 1.3.1 – 26.3 across 84 release versions, and the code is under the MIT License, making it open source.

What the author says
I have completely rewritten the entire source to be scaleable for a range of versions, as well as changing the entire approach of the mod to be completely vanilla-based. All of the reported bugs should be fixed now, and I would be suprised if you guys found any issues other than compat between things like shoulder…
