Ominous Offerings adds pillagers, soul weaponry and an advanced spawner to Forge worlds, all tied to dungeons found underground in cave biomes.
What it does
Ominous Offerings is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that centers on pillager-themed adventure. Players locate an Ominous Dungeon in underground cave biomes, fight through it and collect loot that includes enchanted diamond and crossbow gear, iron, gold and other ores. Suspicious statues placed in dungeons can be used with an Enchanted Omen Core, which summons a boss; defeating that boss drops an Omen Core, a soul, an omen key and a range of materials.
The mod builds a progression path from those materials. Spiritin ingots and soullead bars feed into an advanced spawner, which is placed and then bound to a specific mob type, with zombies, skeletons and others offered as options. Spiritin souls and soullead serve as late-game materials for a set of new utilities, and a renewable source of them is part of the design. Client and server both need it, and Geckolib is required.
Installation requires Geckolib on the same Forge setup. The mod is for 1.20.1 only, published as a single Forge build, 1.0.0, released 2024-07-19 on the alpha channel. Ominous Offerings is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.

Ominous Dungeons
Underground dungeons in cave biomes hold a fight-through layout and loot of enchanted diamond, crossbow and ore items.
Boss summoning
A suspicious statue, activated with an Enchanted Omen Core, summons a boss, which drops an Omen Core and an omen key.
Soul weapons
A Spiritin Scythe pulls souls out of a spawner or siphons them from stronger mobs, while the Spiritin Sword summons explosive souls.
Bound advanced spawner
A spawner crafted from spiritin ingots and soullead bars can be bound to a single mob type after it is placed.
Omen key secret rooms
The omen key opens secret rooms sealed with Trapped Copper elsewhere in the dungeons.
