OC Random Block Placement
by OverCapi
OC Random Block Placement lets a player fill an area with a weighted mix of blocks, each with its own chance of being placed.
What it does
Players choose blocks from their inventory, give each one a percentage, and place them with that random distribution. A press of B opens a selection menu with the chosen blocks on the left, the inventory in the middle and saved presets on the right. On smaller screens the selection and presets appear as two tabs beside the inventory. The mod works in both Survival and Creative mode, and it can be switched off instantly.
Each block starts with an equal chance. Changing one block's chance with Shift+click or a row in the selection panel redistributes the remaining percentage across the other blocks while keeping their proportions. For example, setting Stone to 50% with Andesite and Gravel at 33% leaves Andesite at 25% and Gravel at 25%. Entering 0 removes a block from the selection, and a clear option empties it entirely. Presets are saved by name and can be reloaded later.
Only the player's client needs the mod, so servers run without it and no server installation is required. It is released under the MIT License, is open source, and has files for 1.21.11 – 26.3, with 0.4.0+26.3 as the latest Fabric build for 26.3.
Key features
Weighted block selection
Blocks taken from the inventory are placed at random, each according to its own custom weight.
Percentage editing
A typed percentage sets a block's chance, and the remaining blocks adjust so the others keep their proportions.
Saved presets
A named selection can be stored as a preset and loaded again from the menu.
Selection overview
The panel shows each block's chance, and selected blocks are outlined in green in the inventory.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Builders working on organic structures, varied walls or randomized patterns in Survival or Creative mode. Players who do not need to change the server are the main audience, since the mod runs on the client alone.
