NotSoShadowExtras is a server-side Fabric utility that patches several item-duplication exploits tied to update suppression, mostly in the vanilla shadowing and hopper code.
What it does
Update suppression is a vanilla mechanic that can be abused to duplicate items. NotSoShadowExtras addresses it with a set of targeted fixes: one prevents a dupe linked to update suppression, another repairs items that fail to break correctly when they are affected by it, and a third closes a hopper-based dupe while the updateSuppressionCrashFix option is enabled. Item shadowing dupes are not touched by these fixes.
The mod runs on a server alone, so players join without installing anything. Each fix can be turned on or off separately in the notsoshadowextras config.json file, and the hopper fix is kept as its own rule because it may change behavior in some setups. The mod is published for Fabric only, and its files cover 16 release versions, 1.20 – 26.1.2, with snapshot builds included. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, and its FConfigLib dependency is bundled inside the jar, so nothing extra is needed.
