NoFramerateLimit
by Lunatic
NoFramerateLimit lifts the game's built-in FPS cap on the title screen and in worlds, letting the client render as many frames per second as the hardware allows.
What it does
Minecraft limits the frame rate to 60 FPS by default, and the cap also applies on the title screen. NoFramerateLimit removes that cap so the frame rate is not held to 60 in either place, and the cursor movement is not tied to the limit either. Players with a monitor above 60 Hz can set the limit to unlimited or to a value just above their refresh rate instead of relying on VSync.
The mod is a client mod for Fabric, with a single build, 1.20.2+build.1 for 1.20.4, published on 2023-12-04. Only the client needs it, so servers and other players can run without it. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Uncapped title screen
The frame rate limit is removed on the title screen as well as inside a world, so menus do not run at 60 FPS.
Unlimited frame rate
The in-game FPS limit can be set to unlimited, or to a value slightly above the monitor's refresh rate.
Cursor follows the mouse
Mouse movement is no longer delayed by the frame cap, which is most noticeable on monitors above 60 Hz.
GPU load control
Higher frame rates push the graphics card harder, so the limit can be lowered again when GPU use gets too high.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
High refresh rate monitors
Players on displays with a faster refresh rate than 60 Hz can let the game render at the monitor's full rate instead of stopping at 60 FPS.
Who it’s for: Players who want the game to render above 60 FPS on Fabric, and who are willing to manage GPU load themselves.

What the author says
Minecraft caps the FPS to 60 if not in a world. This leads to everyone with a monitor above 60hz to have a lagging cursor when in fullscreen, which (at least to me) is really annoying. This just removes that cap, which should cap the fps to either your refreshrate if you use vsync, or your ingame's set limit (or…
