No Render
No Render lets players hide chosen entities, items and item frames from the screen to ease lag in crowded areas.
What it does
Players pick which things stop being drawn: other players, passive mobs, villagers, item frames, dropped items, or entities filtered by their registry id. Hiding them can save frames when a field is crowded with cows or items. The mod also offers a skip for light updates, which the author pairs with the entity toggles.
The mod runs on the client only, so a server does not need it and players can join a server without installing it. Installation on Fabric needs Fabric API, and on Forge and NeoForge it needs Forge Config API Port. Files exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across nine release versions 1.18.2 – 1.21.1, and the code is covered by All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Key features
Hide entities by type
Chosen entity types, including passive mobs and villagers, are skipped when the world is drawn.
Hide players
Other players can be removed from view for a player who does not want to see them, without changing anything for others.
Hide item frames and items
Item frames and dropped items can be excluded from rendering, which reduces the drawing work in item-heavy builds.
Filter by registry id
Entities can be hidden by their id, so a single mob type can be removed while the rest stay visible.
Skip light updates
An option skips light updates, a separate cost that the author lists alongside the entity toggles.

Use cases
Crowded farms
Large animal farms with many cows or sheep can be drawn lighter, so the frame rate holds up while the player works.
Busy item sorting
Players moving many dropped items through storage or farms can hide the item entities while they sort.
Who it’s for: Players whose frame rate drops in crowded areas, and players who do not want to see other players or certain mobs while they play in single-player or on a server.
How it compares
Entity Render Disabler is client-side only, published for Fabric and NeoForge over 1.20.4 – 1.21.11, under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Too Many Entities is also client-side only, open source under the MIT License, and covers Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.19.2 – 26.2. GpuShift is different: it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 and is not open source, and it needs a server install as well as the client.

What the author says
A Minecraft mod for Forge and Fabric to toggle the rendering of various things. Too many cows? Your game lags? Stop it, use No Render. Too many items? Simply don't render them and save your FPS. Don't like seeing other players? Don't render them.
