no elytra boosting is a data pack that switches off firework rocket boosting while flying with an elytra.

What it does

Once the pack is loaded, firework rockets no longer speed up a player who is gliding with an elytra. The change is made through a data pack, and a command switches the boost back on or off as the server needs. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a data pack, covering 1.13 – 1.20.6, with 1.20.6 as the latest release.

The mod runs on servers, so only the server needs it; players join without installing anything. It is released under the MIT License and is open source.

Key features

  1. Rocket boost disabled

    Firework rockets stop giving the speed boost that normally applies to a player flying with an elytra.

  2. Toggle option

    A command lets a server owner turn the rocket boost back on or off without reinstalling anything.

  3. Version-independent packs

    The data pack ignores whether a Minecraft version is older or newer than the one it was built for.
