Nilcord
by unilock
Nilcord bridges a Minecraft server chat with a Discord channel, so messages pass in both directions between the two.
What it does
Nilcord is a Discord bridge for Minecraft servers. Its configuration lives in a file named nilcord.toml, which the mod creates in the config folder. The project began as a niche modloader effort, and the mod now covers a long list of game versions, 1.4.7 – 26.3 across 24 release versions.
Server owners install Nilcord on the server only, since the environment is server-side only and players join without the mod. Fabric API and MixinBooter are required dependencies. Placeholder API NeoForge and Text Placeholder API ship inside the mod. Builds are released under the MIT License and the source code is open source, with a public issue tracker.
Key features
Two-way chat bridge
Messages from the server chat reach a Discord channel, and messages from Discord appear in the game.
Text formatting
Message text can use Simplified Text Format or QuickText, depending on the loader and version, and placeholders can fill in player or server values.
Progression and AFK messages
On Forge 1.7.10, the mod can relay ChromatiCraft progression messages and ServerUtilities AFK messages.
Editable configuration
Every option is set in nilcord.toml, so the bridge can be adjusted without changing code.

Use cases
Community servers
A server with a Discord community can share its chat there, so members on either side see the same conversation.
Moderation
Staff in a Discord channel can follow in-game chat without logging into the server.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want a Discord channel linked to their Minecraft chat, across a wide spread of game versions.
How it compares
Ragecord is a Forge mod for 1.7.10 that is server-side only and open source under the MIT License. Yet Another Discord Chat Link runs on Fabric and Quilt for 1.17 – 1.20.6, is server-side only and is licensed under CC0 1.0 Universal. Nilcord covers far more versions and loaders than either.

What the author says
What started as a niche project for a niche modloader for a niche Minecraft version has now been extended to all Minecraft versions (that I personally care about)! Nilcord connects the chat of your Minecraft server to a specified Discord text channel, using a Discord bot and (optionally) webhook.
