What it does

The mod adds several light blocks that can be switched on and off, so builders can place lighting that behaves like the Night Lights experience. NightyLighty is a remake of the original Night Lights mod for Fabric 1.21.1, written from scratch by ItzTK after the author found no working Fabric 1.21.1 version of the fairy lights mod they wanted.

Only the Fabric loader is supported, and the build targets Minecraft 1.21.1 only. It runs on the client and the server together, so both sides need it. The code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with public links to the source code and issue tracker. The latest Fabric file is 0.0.1 for 1.21.1, published on 2025-03-26 on the alpha channel.

Key features

  1. Toggleable light blocks

A range of light blocks can be switched on and off, which lets builders control when a structure is lit.

  2. Night Lights style

The blocks reproduce the look of the original Night Lights decoration set in a single remade mod.

  3. Scratch rewrite

The mod was programmed from scratch rather than ported, with the original creator and artist credited for the concept.

  4. Decoration category

Listed under the Decoration category, the mod is aimed at building and interior lighting.
