Network Tool Plus

by Chatterjay

Network Tool Plus adds an upgrade-card storage to the AE2 Network Tool, so cards can be collected automatically while the tool stays in the player's hands.

What it does

The mod expands the tool's inventory from the vanilla nine slots to twenty-one, laid out as a seven-by-three grid with custom GUI textures. Upgrade cards placed in the tool are kept there, and a scan that runs every ten ticks pulls matching AE2 upgrade cards from the player's inventory into the tool. Collector Mode is switched on and off by holding sneak and right-clicking the tool, and the active tool gains an enchantment glint while it is on. Auto-collection also works when the tool is worn in a Curios slot.

Other parts of the mod handle the AE2 interface. Shift-clicking upgrade cards into a toolbox or machine GUI fills its upgrade slots directly, and incompatible cards stay where they are. Terminal GUIs keep their original behavior. While an AE2 menu is open, the Network Tool's slot in the inventory is locked, which prevents accidental shift-click movement.

Network Tool Plus is a Forge and NeoForge mod published for two game versions, and it needs Applied Energistics 2. It is installed on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. The code is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only. Curios Integration is optional and only needed for the Curios slot.
