Netherited adds a Fireproof enchantment that keeps items from burning in lava and fire, with the book, the upgrade and the shulker box behavior described below.
What it does
Fireproof is an enchantment that protects an item from burning in lava and fire, and from disappearing when lava or fire touches it. Players can obtain a Fireproof Enchanted Book and apply it to an item at an anvil. An upgrade for the Netherite Upgrade Smithing Table is also part of the setup, so an enchanted book can be placed on the table with a Netherite ingot to carry the enchantment onto gear.
Shulker boxes enchanted with Fireproof keep the enchantment when they are placed and broken, so the protection stays with the box rather than being lost on removal. Netherited runs on Fabric and NeoForge in client and server mode, and the code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, with files published across 16 release versions, most recently for 26.3.
