NemexLib is a Forge library for 1.7.10 that gives other mod developers utility classes for Thaumcraft 4 coding, including research, aspect and NBT helpers.
What it does
NemexLib is a code library rather than a gameplay mod. Its classes simplify the work of coding Thaumcraft 4 additions: a dedicated API covers the creation of research tabs, research entries and research pages, and helper classes build aspect lists without repeated boilerplate. Other utilities locate modded items and blocks in the Forge registry and produce deep copies of item stacks whose amount can be edited.
The library is also used by other mods. Its NBT helpers, the JarMaker and EnchantedBookMaker classes, reduce the code needed to handle NBT tags. Four catalog mods require NemexLib: Thaumcraft NEI Plugin : Patched, Thaumcraft 4 : Patched, Thaumic Renaissance and Thaumic-Industries 2 : Core. Installation needs the latest NemexLib build and a working Thaumcraft 4 install for the library to load.
NemexLib is published for Forge 1.7.10 only, in a single build, 1.8 dated 2026-03-15. It runs on client and server, so both sides need it. The license is a custom one and the project is not open source, though its source code and issue tracker are public.
