Mythic Moon

Infection comes from being attacked by a werewolf, and the transformation that follows is described as an unsettling stage before the player fully changes. Once a player becomes a werewolf, the beast appears almost every night, with exceptions tied to certain moon phases, and the moon itself is shown in the sky. Progress is built around hunting prey and gathering resources, which earn skill points spent on new abilities, including special and passive abilities that can be upgraded up to level 60. The author recommends this for long-term survival play, because reaching the top levels takes a lot of time.

The mod also gives the player a path as a hunter instead of a creature. Becoming a hunter requires finding a silver block, holding it, and right-clicking to interact, and the hunter role centers on defeating vampires and werewolves. Infected players can gain stronger abilities that the author describes as magic. Mythic Moon requires Geckolib, and the mod runs on the client and the server, so servers and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric only, on game versions 1.21.11 and 26.2.
